TUESDAY 3RD JULY 2007

'Attack of the Fishmen' is out now and may be on the net soon enough.  Short comedy/horror - is definately has the best effects and production to date - enjoy.

Also s.h.A.p is now on bebo - check it out.

WEDNESDAY 29th NOVEMBER 2006

Well well well, its been well over a year since anything has been posted on this site and why? Because in July 2006 it was decided by the then Coiste to cease all productions and close the company down!  It would only exist as an ownership company and sound production comapny for The Fog.  However we are pleased to announce that s.h.A.p is back in business and will be making its first film in 2 years this December - the highly anticipated third installment of the Mushroom Picnic series.  There may be other suprises in store including a live dvd of the Fog, and maybe a special features dvd featuring archive and rare shap footage.

WEDNESDAY 25TH MAY 2005

Mushroom Picnic 2 has been completed and has been released on dvd.  It was renamed during editing from 'Mushroom Picnic 2 : The Legend of Mr Fuzzy and the Alien Probing Instigation' to 'Mushroom Picnic 2 : The Alien Probings and the Wierd Guy'.

The script for Mushroom Picnic 3 has been completed.  The film takes a turn away from the first two and enters some new ground as well as having echoes of the first two films.  Check out the Pre - Production for more news.

Also this summer s.h.A.p will be filming their first thriller.  The film is as of yet untitled.  It will follow the story of an older s.h.A.p script in which four men spiral in to a paranoid frenzy.  The idea originated in 2001 at the Limerick Fresh Film Festival and was the brain child of s.h.A.p members Tom Nelligan, Sean T O'Gorman, and Ray Powders as well as non-members Barry Reddin and Noel-John Tuehy.

An extra page has been added to the site called 's.h.A.p sound' which will tell you about the music used in s.h.A.p movies.

s.h.A.p are pleased to announce their first sountrack album.  It will feature music used in all s.h.A.p films.  A release date has not yet been set.

WEDNESDAY 18TH MAY 2005

The guestbook is temporarily down due to a broken link.  It should be up and running within the week.

MONDAY 2ND MAY 2005

The script for Mushroom Picnic 3 is near completion and is under the working title Mushroom Picnic 3:  The Mushroom King.  Ray Powders has been cast as the Mushroom King while Tom, Phil and Declan will all be reprising their roles.  This has been confirmed as the final part of the Mushroom Picnic series.

Sadly Sean T has parted ways with company.  This was a mutual decision as Sean has moved to Dublin and can no longer participate in s.h.A.p productions.  We wish him all the best and hope that he will one day rejoin us.  He is more than welcome.

SATURDAY 16TH APRIL 2005

Well it's been a while but we're back and we finally have some news to report.  Firstly it has been announced by the Chairman, Tom Nelligan and the Vice-Chairman, Philip McClean that the Mushroom Picnic films will be made in to a trilogy.  Mushroom Picnic 2 is currently in post-production and Mushroom Picnic 3 is currently being written.

In other news s.h.A.p are proud to announce that their back catalogue will soon be released on DVD.  The Complete s.h.A.p will be the first disc to be released and then other s.h.A.p DVD's to be released will be: The Complete s.h.A.p 2, The Mushroom Picnic Trilogy, s.h.A.p Bonus and Rare s.h.A.p.  The estimated release date for The Complete s.h.A.p is 1st May 2005.

A new page has been added to the site.  The 'Rumor' page will show you rumors that are floating about s.h.A.p.  These are not official decisions...but may be true.

SATURDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2004

A sequel to Mushroom Picnic has been made called Mushroom Picnic 2: The legend of Mr Fuzzy and the Alien Probing Instigation, and will be edited shortly.

SATURDAY 14TH AUGUST 2004

s.h.A.p. are proud to announce their first film in two years entitled `Mushroom Picnic`.  The film was written, produced, directed, edited and starred Tom Nelligan and Phil McClean and features the first s.h.A.p produced music in a film which was created by s.h.A.p's offshoot rock band `The Frequency of Ghosts`.  The basic plot of the film is about two guys who become lost in the woods and are forced to survive on hallucinogenic mushrooms, which causes all hell to break loose.  Test screenings of this film were very positive and this has been hailed as the funniest s.h.A.p film to date.  However this will be the last s.h.A.p comedy in a while as pre-production on The Risen has begun.  The Risen is about a seance gone wrong which causes a demon of satan to rise to earth.  The script for Wrong Place Wrong Time has been completed and pre-production completed.  The script is currently being revised.

Richard Pullen has decided not to apply for a second year as Secretary of s.h.A.p.  He is still an integral part of the group as is his subsidary company Pullenwood Productions.  He felt that he couldn't fulfill the role due to being based in the UK.  The Coiste decided to bypass the usual election process for the role of Secretary due to time restrictions.  Declan O'Loughlin has been selected as the new Secretary untill 1st August 2005, the role of the Secretary now involves Public Relations.  An emergency meeting of the Coiste is scheduled for later today to discuss another reworking of the company.  It is also hoped that s.h.A.p will see the addition of a new member this week.  More will be announced on this soon.

FRIDAY 14TH MAY 2004

After an absense of over a year the s.h.A.p site is back and up and running smoothly under new managment. Declan O'Loughlin has recently taken over the management of the site with the approval of the Coiste. The site will take some time to be updated and the long overdue expansion will hopefully take place. Also s.h.A.p hopes to commence shooting a film this summer after shooting last summer fell through. Both Decisions and Wrong Place Wrong Time are nearing completion in pre production and will feature actors never before appearing in s.h.A.p films.A major reworking of the internal structure of the company has taken place over the last year and many peoples roles in the group have been changed. One of the hardest decisions of the Coiste was to let John Lalor go, they felt that he made a valuable contribution to the group but that it was time to part ways. A replacement will hopefully be found by October. Finally s.h.A.p will be back in full force on the 4th June when the Coiste will discuss the future of s.h.A.p and on the 11th June the summer production will be announced. At present it seems likely that this will be Decisions but things can always change.

TUESDAY 4TH APRIL 2003

A new department has been set up called s.h.A.p Sound. It will be headed by Tom Nelligan and Phil McClean and will be responsible for creating the soundtracks for all the s.h.A.p films.

WEDNESDAY 27TH JANUARY 2003
We promised you a new website many months ago and then we said the idea was scrapped, but finally after much heartache over it, it's finally here. The new wesbsite with the same address went online at 16:45 and has a new modern look, many new pages have also been added.

Most of the new pages are under construction but stick with us the will be finished soon. Many pages are the same as the old pages but due to complications they look very odd (the profile page for instance) these teething problems will be sorted out as soon it is possible to.

TUESDAY 28TH JANUARY 2003
The `Decisions` script is still in writing at the moment, and the first act has been completed in script form, although it is possible that a second draft could be made. A semi-professional artist Pascal Kenna has been enlisted to do the storyboarding for this film. Preliminary sketches will begin shortly. Also musicians have also been enlisted to help provide an original score for the film.

Production for `Wrong Place Wrong Time 2 : Power Struggle` has been officially stopped. The production cost was too high and college commitments meant the film could not be completed. But on the bright side, a re-working of the script to include the 1st 2 films and the unfilmed 3rd film has begun to make a feature leangth `Wrong Place wrong Time` movie. More details on this project will be posted when they become available.

MONDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2002
It's been a long hard road but S.H.A.P is finally 3 years old the anniversary falling on the 19th November.

The new website has been abandoned due to tehnical problems which caused the temporaral closing of this site.

The Coiste has come to the decision not to make a film for the 2003 Limerick Fresh Film Festival. This is due to time, money and resorce constraints. Instead filming will commence for the next S.H.A.P film in July 2003. The film is entitled `Decisions` and is in Pre-Production at the moment. It will be a more serious film for the group and will show the groups true film making ability. It will also be the S.H.A.P's first funded film with sponsership deals in the pipeline.

Also in the pipeline is the first script collaberation between Tom Nelligan and Phil McClean in 3 years. Their last collaberation was the Queen documentary (S.H.A.P`s first film). This new script will be based on the Mexican myth of the Chubacara.

TUESDAY 27TH AUGUST 2002
Well finally after months of promising the new site will be online in the next two days. It will have a more professional look and will be expanded.

SATURDAY 24TH AUGUST 2002
A new genre poll has been added to the site today. You can vote for your favourite genre of film and view the results, there is a choice of 10 genres to choose from.

TUESDAY 20TH AUGUST 2002
Well there has recently been some bad news in S.H.A.P Denis has decided to go to America to work for a year or so. S.H.A.P will loose his contribution to the group and he will be missed. But all is not lost, Denis will be S.H.A.P's representative in the USA and will be promoting S.H.A.P.

FRIDAY 16TH AUGUST 2002
The editing of the Abyss concert will begin tomorrow and is due for release on Friday 23rd August. There has been many problems on the way due to high production costs, but these have been overcome.

SUNDAY 4TH AUGUST 2002
The filming of the `Abyss` concert went very well with only a few minor hitchs. The final crew used for the concert was: Tom Nelligan, Ray Powders and Phil McClean. The other two bands `Long Weekend` and `Indecision` who performed on the night have asked S.H.A.P to release a video of their perfomence. Editing for these two videos will begin shortly. The videos will be released within the next three weeks.

Many updates have been added to the site in the recent weeks because the new site looks like it itsn't going to be up any time soon. There are now profiles of all S.H.A.P members and a direct link to the official site of Pullenwood Productions. Expect to see more updates soon, such as a poster page and an artwork page. TUESDAY 30th JULY 2002
After a very slow time for S.H.A.P things are about to pick up. S.H.A.P have been recruited by local Portlaoise based band `Abyss` to film their upcoming concert as well as extra interviews and backstage footage. The video will be released in local music shops. This will be Sheer Heart Attack's first money making venture. More news will be posted when available.

MONDAY 22ND JULY 2002
There has been very little to report recently as regards to the new website, we are still having continuing problems with it, and are still unable to resolve the problem.

The Coiste have issued contract to everyone in the group and almost everyone has signed so far. Also a process for scripts and films has been decided upon. To write a script the the idea must be approved by the Coiste. The completed script is then sent to our script editor and finally back to the Coiste for a final approval. Two ideas for films have so far been approved, and are being written at the moment. The first is a feature length remake of S.H.A.P's 2001 film `Wrong Place Wrong Time` by Tom Nelligan. This film will be S.H.A.P`s first feature length film. The second film is by Ray Powders and is called `Town of the Dead`. It is a modern zombie movie, that takes place in the midlands of Ireland. Ray has been working on this idea for many years now, and has been re-written many times. He has managed to take a the tired idea of zombies and re-vamped it. Even the makers of `Resident Evil` would be jealeous of this upcoming S.H.A.P. film.
